Maruti Suzuki 13 Day Strike called off

The 13-day strike at the country's largest automotive maker Maruti Suzuki India's (MSI)Manesar plant in Gurgaon was called off late tonight following a deal brokered by Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda between the employees and therefore the management.

As a part of the deal, MSI can reinstate all the sacked eleven employees and take a lenient approach on imposing no-work-no-pay rule of eight day's salary cut for each single day of the strike.

 On the opposite hand, the worker's have conceded to the management's demand of not permitting the formation of a second union within the company."Agreement has been signed and employees have determined to decision off the strike. they'll resume work from tomorrow", Haryana Labour Secretary Sarban Singh said. He said the corporate has determined to reinstate all the eleven sacked staff and a disciplinary inquiry are going to be initiated against them. Sources aware of the event said the formula was figured out once Hooda met MSI prime executives, as well as Managing Director and CEO Shinzo Nakanishi, last evening. Company officers couldn't be reached for comments. because the strike continued for the last thirteen days, the corporate lost production of 12,600 units valued at concerning Rs 630 crore.
